(Tampa, Fla.) - The Phillies' Triple-A Spring Training team fell, 9-6, to the Yankees' squad in Tampa today - running its exhibition-long losing streak to six games. The team -- now 4-8 after starting with a 3-0 record - had a 2-0 lead before the Yanks went ahead for good during a three-run third inning.

RHP Carlos Carrasco got the start, but allowed 10 hits and five runs in his five innings of work. Despite the loss, the 22-year-old prospect fanned five Yankees batters without issuing a walk. He was followed by RHP Dave Borkowski (1.0 ip, 1 h, 1 r, 1 er), RHP William Savage (1.0 ip, 4 h, 2 r, 2 er) and RHP Jason Anderson (1.0 ip, 2 h, 1 r, 1 er, 1 k).

Only five of the 10 batters in the lineup had hits; but four of them had multi-hit efforts. 3B Mike Cervenak broke out of a spring slump, going 3-5 with a 2B, HR, RBI and 2 R. OF Brian Stavisky also had three hits, finishing 3-3 with a 2B, a walk and 2 R. CF Rich Thompson (2-5) batted leadoff and added a 2B, HR, RBI and a R while INF J.J. Furmaniak (2-4) had a 3B and a team-leading 3 RBI.

The Phillies' squad is now 0-4 against the Yankees' Triple-A team this exhibition season after the IronPigs went just 2-14 against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees in 2008.

The Phillies' Triple-A Spring Training team (4-8) will return home to Clearwater to host the Blue Jays' club at Carpenter Complex on Tuesday.
