
Philadelphia Union, Major League Soccer Announce Comprehensive Partnership with Captain Morgan

CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union announced today a comprehensive partnership with Captain Morgan that sees the brand become the Official Spiced Rum of the Philadelphia Union as well as an exclusive partner in the spirits category. The announcement comes as part of a league-level partnership between Captain Morgan and Major League Soccer.
"Our club is excited to welcome Captain Morgan to our portfolio of partners. Their commitment to the Philadelphia Union, and the MLS as a whole, demonstrates a belief in the future and growth of our club and sport in the Philadelphia area," said Jean-Paul Dardenne, Senior Vice President, Corporate Partnerships for the Philadelphia Union. "The support of our partners is what makes game day at Talen Energy Stadium a one-of-a-kind experience. We look forward to working with Captain Morgan to engage with our fans in fun, responsible way for many matches to come."
As part of the Union-specific partnership, Captain Morgan will have comprehensive branding throughout Talen Energy Stadium, as well as a variety of programming inclusive of a presence on the Toyota Plaza for select matches, in-game videoboard assets, and fan engagement initiatives for those of legal drinking age.

At the league level, fans of legal drinking age will also soon be able to purchase custom labeled bottles of Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum featuring official team colors and crests to be enjoyed responsibly with their fellow supporters. Captain Morgan also becomes an official sponsor of MLS All-Star, as well as the Campeones Cup and MLS Cup.
