CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union II took on Columbus Crew 2 at Subaru Park on Sunday night, ending with a 2-1 win. With the win, Union II remain in seventh place in the Eastern Conference with 23 points. Midfielder Paxten Aaronson opened up scoring in the 33rd minute with a right footed shot from the center of the box off a deflected Chris Donovan cross. Goalkeeper Matt Freese came up big in the 60th minute with a diving save to keep the Union lead. Shortly after, Columbus scored an equalizing goal off a Noah Fuson header in the 64th minute. In stoppage time, Union forward Stefan Stojanovic scored the go-ahead goal on a volley sent in off a cross by Nathan Harriel.
Union II are on the road against FC Cincinnati 2 at Mercy Health Training Center on Sunday, August 7th (6:00 p.m. ET / MLSNEXTPro.com).
