
Philadelphia Soul to Hold Open Player Tryout

Who/What: The Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League will hold their first open tryout for players in the Philadelphia area.
When: Tomorrow -- Saturday, November 15
8:00 a.m. â 2:00 p.m.
Where: Temple University's Geasey Field
15th Street (Between Norris and Montgomery Streets)
Philadelphia, PA 19122
Background: Registration for offensive and defensive linemen, fullbacks, linebackers and kickers will begin promptly at 7 a.m. and for wide receivers; defensive backs and quarterbacks at 10 a.m. There will be a $50 cash registration fee. Money orders, checks and credit cards will not be accepted.
Head Coach Michael Trigg and his staff will be evaluating participants in a series of speed and agility testing drills followed by a break down of drills by position. The tryouts are open to all positions. Athletes are required to bring turf shoes and workout attire. Absolutely no "track spikes" will be allowed on the turf
The Philadelphia Soul will kick off their inaugural season this February 8th on NBC Sports against the expansion New Orleans Voodoo at the Wachovia Center. Season ticket plans are on sale now and can be purchased for as low as $80. For more information on season tickets call 1-888-PHIL-AFL.
