Everett Hawks News Release
EVERETT - Jeremiah Pharms spent last season with the Hawks doing what he has done throughout his entire career, terrorizing opposing offenses. 2006 is sure to bring more of the same, but with Jeremiah donning some new colors. The League Office announced Thursday that Pharms has signed a contract to play with the New York Dragons of the AFL. Details of the contract are undisclosed, but it is certainly a big step forward in Pharms' career.
Prior to starring in Everett last season and helping the Hawks to a 14-0 regular season record, Pharms played with the Eastside Hawks semi-pro team of the NWFL. Jeremiah was named league MVP in 2004, guiding the Hawks to the Semi-Pro National Championship.
Jeremiah spent his collegiate career with the University of Washington Huskies. While at Washington Jeremiah was a two-year starter at outside linebacker starting all 11 games in each of his last two seasons and leading the team in tackles for loss ('99, '98). Jeremiah helped guide the Huskies to the '97 Oahu Bowl and the '98 Holiday Bowl.
Though the Hawks will miss Jeremiah's leadership and intimidating presence, the entire organization wishes him the best of luck.
