Phantoms Win 500th Game

LOWELL, MA - The Philadelphia Phantoms became the 15th franchise in the history of the American Hockey League to win 500 games when they beat the Lowell Devils 3-1 on Wednesday night at Tsongas Arena. Jared Ross had two goals and Steve Downie had two assists in the milestone win.

The Phantoms are the sixth currently-active team to reach the 500-win plateau. The previous 14 teams are as follows, along with their win total entering the 2008-09 season.

The Phantoms accomplished the feat in their 971st game. On average, the club has won just over 41 games per season over its history of just over 12 seasons.
