A WEEKEND OFF, THEN A BIG WEEKEND BACK ON
The Zamboni will be silent at the Wachovia Spectrum this weekend as the Phantoms go for more than a week without a home game for just the second time this season. But next weekend, there will be lots going on in Phantomland! On Friday, January 19, the Phantoms welcome the Bridgeport Sound Tigers for NASCAR Night at the Spectrum. Fans will be able to enjoy several NASCAR-themed attractions on the concourse, and the first 5,000 fans will receive miniature Phantoms cars courtesy of Ransome-Cat. Then on Sunday, January 21, the first 4,000 fans will receive a Peter Forsberg bobblehead doll courtesy of Toyota.
CHUCK YOUR PUCKS
Phantoms Charities will continue with its Chuck O' Puck promotion on Friday, Jan. 19 in the second intermission. The Phantoms Wives are sponsoring the event, which will happen at every Friday game over the rest of the season. Pucks are $2 apiece or three for $5, and fans can use their skill to toss those pucks on the ice in the second intermission. The puck closest to the target will win half of the monies raised on the evening, while the other half will go to Phantoms Charities.

TRICKY
Darren Reid's hat trick on Friday vs. Lowell was Philadelphia's fourth of the season and 32nd in team history. The Phantoms now have 11 hat tricks since the start of the 2005-06 season. Prior to the 2005-06 season, there had only been 21 hat tricks in the first nine years of the team's history. The Phantoms set a new franchise record with seven tricks in 2005-06. Meanwhile, the Phantoms have allowed just one hat trick since the start of the 2005-06 season - zero last year, and one this year when Brandon Bochenski scored four goals on Nov. 25 at Norfolk. The Phantoms allowed 24 hat tricks in the first nine years of the franchise's history.
OTHER PHANTOMS NOTABLES
The recall of Jussi Timonen was the 107th transaction for the Phantoms this season, compared with 101 this time last year, when the Phantoms finished with 162 player moves for the entire season... The Phantoms 5-3 win over Lowell on Friday was just their second of the season when trailing after two periods. The only other one was the opening night 5-4 OT win over Norfolk. Philadelphia is 2-16-0-1 when trailing after two periods... Scott Munroe has won four of his last six starts for the Phantoms...
Philadelphia embarks on a four-game road stretch tonight, its longest of the season both in games and in time away from home. The Phantoms travel to Bridgeport on tonight before heading to Lowell for games Friday and Sunday. The club will return to Philadelphia Sunday night before leaving again on Tuesday to visit Binghamton. The four consecutive road games mark a season high, and the six consecutive days on the road from Tuesday through Sunday are also a season-long stretch.
