UPCOMING OPPONENTS

Friday, February 1: Phantoms vs. Worcester Sharks - The Phantoms and Worcester Sharks (San Jose Sharks) complete their home-and-home season series this Friday at the Wachovia Spectrum. The Phantoms beat the Sharks 3-0 back in November. In that game, Brian Boucher and Scott Munroe combined in goal to complete only the second tandem shutout in Phantoms history. Pete Zingoni scored two of the three goals for the Phantoms. Worcester starts the week with a record of 19-18-3-3 for 44 points, putting them sixth in the Atlantic Division. The Sharks have only played 43 games, fewer than any other team. Mike Iggulden currently leads the Sharks in all scoring categories with 17 goals and 22 assists for 39 points.

Saturday, February 2: Phantoms at Binghamton Senators - The Phantoms and Senators (Ottawa Senators) will meet in the fifth of eight appointments this season. In the last game between the clubs, the Sens scored three shorthanded goals en-route to a 5-3 victory, breaking an 11-game winless streak against Philadelphia that dated back to March of 2006. The Phantoms lead the season series 3-1 and have outscored the Senators, 20-12 in those four games. The Senators currently find themselves in fifth place in the East Division with a record of 22-17-4-3 for 51 points, 10 behind the Phantoms.

COMING UP IN FEBRUARY

The Phantoms play 13 games in February, eight of which come on the road. February contains the team's longest road trip in terms of games and days, a four-game journey that starts in Binghamton on Feb. 6 and ends in Providence on Feb. 10. The team will be away from Feb. 5-10.

Eight of the 13 games are against East Division opponents, including the final six (Feb. 15-29). Those six games start a month-long stretch of 13 consecutive games against division opponents from Feb. 15 to March 15. Once the Phantoms reach that Feb. 15 point, 22 of the remaining 26 games will be against East Division foes.

ON THE PROMOTIONAL DOCKET

Highlights of February include a home-and-home with Hershey, the first half of which will be played on February 22. That night, the Phantoms will give out their youth T-shirt jerseys to the first 3,000 kids 14 and under, courtesy of Comcast. Earlier that week, on Feb. 18, the Phantoms will host Albany in a special 4:05 PM President's Day game. The Phantoms will wear jerseys of a special President's Day theme, and will auction them off following the game. On February 29, the Phantoms will give away a yet-to-be-announced figurine. Details are still to come, but fans won't want to miss it!
