Phantoms to Hold Main Camp June 13th-15th

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Youngstown Phantoms will hold their annual tryout camp this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 13-15, at the Ice Zone, located at 360 McClurg Road, Youngstown, OH 44512. The weekend will also feature a pair of all-star games on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. All events this weekend are free of charge and open to the public.

On Friday and Saturday, teams of non-Phantom veteran junior players, USHL draft picks, and specially invited free agent players will compete for an undetermined number of spots on two teams that will play in a pair of all-star games to be held on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. In addition to these invited players, veteran Phantoms players will be added to the rosters to round out the teams.

On Sunday afternoon, the Phantoms hockey staff will select the 2014-2015 Youngstown Phantoms team that will compete in the upcoming USHL season. These players will meet with the staff, go over their off-season expectations and team rules. In addition, they will be tested for off-ice conditioning, given their off-season workout programs and get acquainted with their new teammates and hockey staff as the team looks forward to a great season, which will begin when the players report to Youngstown for training camp in late August.

10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Team 1 (Powder) vs. Team 2 (Orange)

12:15 p.m.-2:15 p.m. Team 3 (Kelly) vs. Team 4 (Teal)

2:30 p.m.-4:30 .p.m. Team 5 (Gold) vs. Team 6 (Red)

4:45 p.m.-6:45 p.m. Team 1 (Powder) vs. Team 4 (Teal)

7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Team 6 (Red) vs. Team 3 (Kelly)

9:15 p.m.-11:15 p.m. Team 5 (Gold) vs. Team 2 (Orange)

Saturday June 14th, 2014

9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Team 1 (Powder) vs. Team 6 (Red)

11:15 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Team 2 (Orange) vs. Team 4 (Teal)

1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Team 3 (Kelly) vs. Team 5 (Gold)
