
Phantoms play double header

New Hampshire Phantoms News Release
Hampstead, NH, 06/20/05 - The NH Phantoms play a double header this Tuesday June 21st at Dr George J. Larkin Field on the Campus of SNHU in Manchester.
First the NH Lady Phantoms play against the Boston Renegades in a USL-W league game, kick-off is at 5pm. The NH Phantoms entertain after that the Vermont Voltage in a USL exhibition game, kick-off is at 7'30pm.
Voltage's owner-coach-player Bojan "Bo" Vuckovic is a former NH Phantoms player and Franklin Pierce graduate. His team is third at the moment in the Northeast Division in the USL PDL with 5-4-0 record. The Vermont team has scored 15 goals so far and conceded 18.
The Phantoms have a chance to extend their winning run to three straight victories. The locals won on Saturday their USL Second Division game against the Long Island Rough Riders 2:0 with goals from Bjorn Hansen (penalty) and Thomas McNeil. Before that they defeated division leaders Charlotte Eagles 2:1.
GM Jim DeDeus said: "We have a good relationship with the Vermont Voltage team and games between the two sides have been quite entertaining. Hopefully this tradition will stay alive. The game will also be opportunity for us to test players who have not had many minutes on the pitch this season."
Before the men's game the NH Lady Phantoms host the Boston Renegades in a USL-W league fixture. Both teams played recently - the Renegades won 8:1 at home 10 days ago, the goal for the Lady Phantoms came from Meotis Erikson. Lady Phantoms are still one place from the bottom with 3 points (1-4-0), the Renegades are a place above them with 9 points (3-3-0).
