The City Islanders have another chance to make a move in the standings with two road games this week, in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, June 22 (7:05 p.m.), and in Cincinnati on Friday, June 24 (7:30 p.m.).
Harrisburg captured a 1-0 win over the arch rival Riverhounds (3-5-0, 9 points) at Skyline on April 23 courtesy of a Mo Oduor goal in the 37th minute. Bryan Hill made three saves in goal for the shutout. The City Islanders make one more visit to Pittsburgh on Friday, July 1, before the teams complete their season series in Harrisburg on Saturday, August 13. Wednesday's match will be televised live on FOX Sports Pittsburgh.
The City Islanders are 1-0-1 against Cincinnati (4-4-3, 15) in 2005, having played to a scoreless tie on April 16 in Cincinnati and snagging a 2-1 win over the Kings at home on June 4. Hill was named the USL Second Division Player of the Week after making five saves (including a penalty kick stop) in the April 16 game. Severs and Bernie Showers found the net in front of a standing room only Skyline crowd on June 4. Harrisburg and the Kings complete their season series on August 6 at Skyline.
Including this week, the City Islanders play five of their next six games on the road, with their only home match during that stretch coming on July 9 versus Wilmington.
