The Phantoms outscored the Ice 6-1 in the final two periods on the way to a 6-3 victory. The offensive charge was led by multi-point performances by seven different Phantoms. The Phantoms allowed four unanswered goals during the first two periods but a third period goal by Sekac could not spark the Phantoms offense in the comeback effort. Matt Green made his first start for the Phantoms but after allowing four goals on 22 shots he was replaced by O'Connor.
Quote of the Week
Head Coach Curtis Carr commenting on the decision not to rush Loney back from injury before he was ready to take the ice:
"It's great to get Ty [Loney] back," said Carr. "He is a big part of our team offensively but he is even bigger in the locker room. He is a great character guy and for him to pick up three points was big."
