THE KATINAS TO PERFORM ON CHRISTIAN NIGHT
Sponsored by Chick-Fil-A, the Phantoms' second-annual Christian Night this Friday, Feb. 6 will feature a postgame concert by the Katinas. Made up of Samoa-born brothers Sam, Joe, Jesse, John and James, the Katinas recently released their fourth album ROOTS, which sews together such sleek sounds as classic Motown, urban hip-hop, neo-soul and islands-influenced pop. Chick-Fil-A will have two tables on the concourse with interactive games, as well as a promotion during an intermission and coupons for fans as they enter the arena.
PHANTOMS TO PREVIEW "THE LION KING 1 ½" ON FRIDAY
"The Lion King 1 ½" hits video stores next week, but Phantoms fans will be able to watch the all-new motion picture this Friday, Feb. 6 at 5:00 p.m. prior to the team's game against the Albany River Rats. The movie will be shown inside Bullies Sports Bar & Restaurant at the Wachovia Spectrum.
A giant inflatable featuring Timon and Pumbaa will also be on display outside the Wachovia Spectrum on Friday and lucky fans will win "The Lion King 1 ½" DVDs and movie posters during the game. In addition, Radio Disney will have an interactive table on the concourse and Campbell's will be sampling its new Invigor8 drink.
PHANTOMS SUPPORTING AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION
In recognition of American Heart Association Month and Friday's National Wear Red Day For Women, the Phantoms will be donating a portion of that night's game's ticket sales to the AHA. Call 215-952-5784 for more information. Team mascot Phlex will also be attending the kick-off event on Friday from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Liberty Place in Philadelphia.
INAUGURAL SEASON JERSEY AUCTION RAISES $11,675
A total of $11,675 was raised for the Phantoms Wives Charities on Jan. 31 when 18 jerseys from Philadelphia's inaugural season of 1996-97 were auctioned off following a 4-3 overtime win over the Milwaukee Admirals.
Neil Little's #31 jersey was the top item up for bid, bringing in $1,500. Frank Bialowas' No. 29 jersey sold for $1,200, while John Stevens' #21 sweater came in at $1,050.
Philadelphia's first jersey auction of the season raised a total of $24,250 on Oct. 19, when the Phantoms wore special orange Halloween-themed jerseys with black spider webs. Goaltender Antero Niittymaki's No. 1 jersey sold for the most at $1,550, followed by defenseman John Slaney's #26 at $1,275.
PHANTOMS TO VISIT WHITMAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Nick Deschenes, Ben Stafford, Joey Hope, Randy Jones and head coach John Stevens will be visiting Whitman Elementary School in Turnersville, N.J. on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 2:00 p.m. to read to several classrooms and answer questions.
FEB. 3 GAME POSTPONED
The Phantoms' game scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 3 was postponed due to dangerous driving conditions for the visiting Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The game will now be played on Tuesday, March 16 at 7:05 p.m. All tickets for Tuesday's game will be honored on March 16.
PHANTOMS DRAW AHL'S LARGEST CROWD OF THE SEASON
Philadelphia posted a 4-3 overtime win over the Milwaukee Admirals on Jan. 31 at the Wachovia Center in front of an AHL season-high crowd of 15,603. The crowd topped the previous league-best total of 13,342 set by the Houston Aeros on Jan. 16. It was Philadelphia's largest crowd since 19,730 fans packed the then First Union Center on Feb. 10, 2001.
COMCAST SPORTSNET TO TELEVISE 2004 PEPSI AHL ALL-STAR CLASSIC
Comcast SportsNet will be televising live the 2004 Pepsi AHL All-Star Game this Monday, Feb. 9 at 7:00 p.m. from Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich. Representing the Phantoms will be right wing Kirby Law. CN8 will be broadcasting the Skills Competition on a tape delayed basis on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 1:00 p.m.
PHANTOMS PARTICIPATING IN WXPN FUND DRIVE
Two Phantoms will be taking pledges at the WXPN Winter Fund Drive on Monday, Feb. 9 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. WXPN (88.5 FM) is one of the most listened to public broadcasting services in the country.

The price of the popular Family Value Pack has been cut from $48 to $44 for the rest of the 2003-04 season. Widely considered the best deal in town, Phantoms Family Value Packs include four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and four Dave & Buster's Power Cards.

Chief operating officer Frank Miceli will be the guest on the Phantoms' weekly radio show, "Rumble with the Phantoms," this Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 4:30 p.m. Hosted by Tom Shaw, the show features a player interview, news on the team and ticket giveaways every Wednesday on WNJC (1360 AM).
NEXT "INSIDE THE PHANTOMS" ON FEB. 10
The next edition of "Inside the Phantoms" will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 4:30 p.m. Hosted by David Unkle, the show features a player interview, news on the team and ticket giveaways every other Tuesday throughout the season on WNJC (1360 AM).
