PG Cougars Society and Canadian Tire Team up for a Mega Jackpot Night on January 20th

Prince George, B.C. - Canadian Tire is partnering with the PG Cougars Society to create a Mega Jackpot 50/50 night that will take place on Friday, January 20th when the Prince George Cougars play host to the Moose Jaw Warriors.
Canadian Tire is purchasing $25,000 worth of PG Cougars Society 50/50 tickets to start the pot, and from there all net proceeds from the mega jackpot draw will be donated to the local chapter of Jumpstart - An organization which helps kids in financial need get the same chance to play local sports as their neighbors, classmates and friends.
Selen Alpay, owner of PG Canadian Tire says, "We acknowledge that participation in sports has a positive impact on children and youth. Through Jumpstart and our local chapter and agencies we have seen first hand the amazing and tangible results! Kids involved in sports come away with a great sense of pride and personal fulfillment, which also become apparent in their personal lives. They have more self-confidence, self-assurance, a great sense of pride and they are poised to take on challenges they may never have attempted in previously. These kids are the future of our tine community and it just makes so much sense investing in them. Since 2011 we have impacted the lives of 3714 children and youth in a positive way. In this time Jumpstart has dispersed a total of $403,157! We are investing in the Mega 50/50 jackpot because we believe that in the final outcome we will even reach more children and youth to get them involved in sport."
The CN Centre doors will open at NOON on Friday the 20th for fans 19+ (with tickets for the game that night) to stop buy and purchase tickets for the mega jackpot draw. Canadian Tire will be giving one FREE $10 50/50 ticket to the first 2500 fans 19+ who stop by to purchase tickets for the draw. The first 1000 people will also receive a FREE Canadian Tire water bottle with a great money saving coupon inside.

Back in November we held a mega jackpot draw, which started at $20,000 and ended up at over $100,000! One of our fans ended up winning over $50,000 just by coming to a hockey game and purchasing a 50/50 ticket!" comments Cougars Vice President - Business, Andy Beesley.
Beesley adds, "As always we strongly urge our fans to come to the CN Centre early to purchase their tickets in advance, because we know the PG Cougars game will be THE place to be and we don't want fans stuck in long line ups".
*All participants must have valid tickets for the game to be eligible to purchase 50/50 tickets or to receive a free ticket. The winner must be in attendance. Must be 19+ to play.
