
Petes to Kick off 2020 Esports NHL 20 Tournament Tonight

(Peterborough, ON) - The Peterborough Petes are excited to announce the start of the Peterborough Petes Esports NHL20 Tournament. Shawn Spearing and Keegan McMullen will kick things off on Tuesday, May 19 at 7:00pm.
The tournament will feature rostered players Akil Thomas, Hunter Jones, Shawn Spearing and Keegan McMullen who will be facing off with prospects as well as Petes alumni including Cole Fraser, Nick Grima and Austin Osmanski.
Players will play a best two out of three series in a round robin format, each playing two games within their division before entering a single elimination tournament.
Each game will be broadcast on Twitch. Fans are encouraged to subscribe to the page and turn on notifications to make sure they don't miss the action.
This first week's matchups will be as follows:
Tuesday, May 19, 7:00pm: Shawn Spearing (#7) vs Keegan McMullen (#15) (Gainey Division)
Wednesday, May 20: Shawn Spearing (#7) vs Eli Palfreyman (2018 12th round pick) (Gainey Division)
Thursday, May 21: Keegan McMullen (#15) vs Eli Palfreyman (Gainey Division)
Friday, May 22: Riley Wood (2019 8th round pick) vs Austin Osmanski (2017-2019 alumnus) (Dick Todd Division)
