Peterborough Petes Recognize Terry Vokey as this Week's Local Minor Hockey Volunteer

(Peterborough, ON) - Terry Vokey, Coach of the U-15 Team 5 Petes with the Peterborough Hockey Association is recognized as this week's exceptional minor hockey volunteer. The Petes want to celebrate local minor hockey volunteers for their contribution to the planning, organizing and execution of local minor hockey's return to the play this season.

Vokey is a knowledgeable coach who is dedicated to improving his players on and off the ice. His focus on good sportsmanship and his enthusiasm entices players to become better players and more importantly better teammates.

"Terry is an outstanding coach," says Sarah Ryan, who nominated Vokey. "He has an excellent rapport with all of his players. At the rink, he creates a positive and fun environment while pushing his players to achieve to the best of their abilities."

Each week the Petes will recognize and celebrate one volunteer from the PMHC, PHA, PGHA, and local adaptive hockey organizations who acknowledges that this hockey season has required additional time and effort to ensure a safe return for players to the rink.

The Petes welcome players, parents and other members of the minor hockey community to nominate deserving local volunteers by filling out this form .
