Peoria Pirates Brandon Campbell was selected the ADT Defensive Player of the Week vs. the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings by the af2 league offices.
Campbell (5-10, 180, Eastern Michigan) had 4.5 tackles, forced and recovered a fumble for a 9-yard touchdown, and had a game clinching interception with less that 10 seconds remaining in the game to give the Pirates a 46-38 victory over the Battle Wings. Campbell, a member of the Pirates during the 2002 arena cup championship team, has been a key leader this season. Campbell was selected "Ironman of the Game" June 19,4004 vs. Louisville Fire.
The Peoria Pirates take on the Columbus Wardogs this Saturday July 17th at the Peoria Civic Center. Kickoff is 7:05.
The Peoria Pirates final regular season home game will be Saturday July 31st against the Green Bay Blizzard. For tickets call the Pirates office at 309-637-7777.
