Penguins Release Eight from Training Camp Roster

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have released eight players from their 2012 training camp roster.

Goaltender Patrick Killeen, defenseman Reid McNeill and forwards Cody Chupp, Tom Kuhnhackl, Adam Payerl, Dominik Uher and Scott Zurevinski have been assigned to the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL, while Michael Neal has been released from his professional try-out agreement.

The Penguins current active roster stands at 26 players: 14 forwards, ten defensemen and two goaltenders.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins open the 2012-13 regular season on the road against the Binghamton Senators on Saturday, October 13 at 7:05 P.M.

The Penguins take the ice for their home opener on Saturday, October 20 at 7:05 P.M. against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Season tickets for the Penguins' 14th season in the American Hockey League are on sale now, and available by calling (570) 208-PENS.
