
Penguins Release Cianfrini from PTO

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins today announced that they have released defenseman Paul Cianfrini from his professional tryout agreement (PTO).
Cianfrini, 25, made his American Hockey League and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton debut on Saturday in the Penguins' 3-0 win at Binghamton. He has collected one goal, two assists and two penalty minutes in 16 games this season for the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).
The third-year pro has appeared in 154 ECHL contests with Toledo, Trenton and Wheeling, totaling 32 points (3G-29A) and 73 penalty minutes.
The Penguins return from the holiday break to take on the Senators in Binghamton on Friday, Dec. 26 at 7:05 p.m. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is back on home ice on Saturday, Dec. 27 against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers with a start time of 7:05 p.m. and closes out the weekend versus the Norfolk Admirals on Sunday, Dec. 28 at 4:05 p.m.
