The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Ben Lovejoy from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced by Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero.

For his efforts, Lovejoy was not only named to the AHL PlanetUSA All-Star Team, but made his NHL debut by appearing in two games with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

On the current campaign, the 6-foot-2, 215-pound blueliner has three points (2G-1A) and a plus-2 rating in seven games. In his first game of the season, Lovejoy scored the game-winning goal and was a plus-2 in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's 6-4 victory over rival Hershey.
The Concord, NH native turned pro after playing three collegiate seasons with Dartmouth. Lovejoy finished his Big Green career with 54 points (11G-43A) in 96 games.
