Saturday's Game Features Red Cross, Skate With The Hogs

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs and Rock River Chapter of the American Red Cross have added several exciting opportunities for IceHogs fans this weekend.

All fans who buy tickets to Saturday's game against the Abbotsford Heat at the Rockford MetroCentre through the American Red Cross will be entered to win a seat upgrade to the MetroCentre's Executive Suites. The game starts at 7:05 p.m.

Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from those tickets sold will benefit the Rock River Chapter of the American Red Cross. At Saturday's game, The Red Cross will have a computer and camera that will allow fans to send messages to soldiers serving overseas as well as crafts and games for kids in the upper concourse.

The night will also feature the IceHogs' first Skate With The Hogs of the 2009-10 season. Bring your ice skates to get on the MetroCentre ice after the game. The team will be on hand to talk with fans and sign autopgraphs. Don't have ice skates? Come to the endzone area to get autographs and meet the IceHogs players.

The first 2,500 people into the building will also pick up a Mike Peck Bobblehead, presented by Dental Dimensions, 23 WIFR and 1330 AM WNTA.

Next Home Game: Friday, Nov. 13 vs. Texas Stars. The puck is set to drop at 7:05 p.m. The first 2,500 fans into the building will get an IceHogs cape courtesy of Rasmussen College and The Eagle. For tickets call (815) 968-5222 or visit www.metrocentre.com.
