Pelletier Blast Not Enough

Ben Pelletier capped a three-hit night with a prestigious two-run blast in the top of the 9th inning of the Cutters 11-6 loss to the Doubledays.

Pelletier finished the night 3 for 5 with the home run (5) and two RBI (27), scoring three runs. Edwin Rodriguez (2 for 5), Jake Holmes (2 for 4) and Brayan Gonzalez (2 for 4) also recorded multi-hit games as the Cutters finished the night with 12 hits. Gonzalez had three RBI (23) and Rodriguez had one RBI (19).

Ethan Lindow suffered the loss, allowing a season-high 5 runs, 4 earned, over five innings. The lefty gave up seven hits and walked two while striking out five. Abdallah Aris allowed two runs, one earned, over two innings of relief, while Oscar Marcelino allowed four runs, all earned, over an inning of work.

Pelletier has four, three-hit games on the season and the Crosscutters have had a batter record three or more hits in a game in each of their last three games. Pelletier's home run was the 5th hit by the

Crosscutters in the month of August.
