
Pelicans' Shelley Welch Promoted To VP Of Operations

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Pelicans announced today the promotion of Shelley Welch to Vice President of Operations for the 2010 baseball season.
Welch joined the Pelicans as Ticketing Director, and is entering her fifth season with the organization. In addition to her role as Ticketing Director, Welch has handled major account fulfillment, corporate sales and season ticket holder relations. She also filled the role of Merchandise Director in 2007 and 2008. As VP of Operations, she will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Pelicans organization.
Prior to joining the Pelicans staff in 2006, Welch was the Director of Operations for Fox and Hounds, a pet products company in Alexandria, VA. The Pensacola native received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of West Florida.
"Since joining the Pelicans, Shelley has managed several departments. Each area in which she was responsible, dramatically improved in function and customer relations," said Talmadge Nunnari, General Manager and Field Manager.
Pelicans Owner Quint Studer added, "Shelley has shown consistent growth with the Pelicans and has earned this opportunity."
