Pensacola Pelicans News Release
Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Pelicans will take on the Lincoln Saltdogs in a best of five series to determine the American Association Champion. The Pelicans are hosting a listening party for game two at Pelican Park on Wednesday, September 9 on the 3rd Base Party Deck beginning at 7:05 p.m. There will be FREE food, courtesy of Famous Dave's Barbecue and $1 beer and Pepsi products for attendees.
"We had a good turn out last week at our listening party and we hope to have even more this week. The fans had a great time cheering on the Pelicans with fellow fans. It means a lot to the players knowing their fans are together back home cheering them on," said Assistant General Manager Jason Libbert.
The game will be broadcast live on NewsRadio 1620, as well as www.sportsjuice.com by the Voice of the Pelicans, Jeff Knox.
Game three in the best-of-five series will be held in Pensacola Friday night, with a 7:05 p.m. start time. If necessary, games four and five will be in Pensacola on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are available now online at www.pensacolapelicans.com, via phone at (850) 934-8444, or in person at the Pelicans' Box Office on the campus of the University of West Florida on the day of the game.
