TODAY'S GAME: This afternoon, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Pawtucket Red Sox in a doubleheader as part of their four-game series at Dunn Tire Park (Game 1: 1:05 p.m.). The Herd leads the series 1-0 after a 6-5 victory on Tuesday night. Last night's game was postponed due to rain. Today's doubleheader is part of an eight-game homestand with Lehigh Valley coming to Buffalo, May 17-20. On the mound today for the Herd in Game 1 will be RHP Adam Miller. The Indians' #1 prospect by Baseball America threw five shutout innings in a no-decision on Friday in Rochester. In Game 2, the Bisons will turn to LHP Jason Stanford, who is 1-1 with a 1.66ERA in four games with the Bisons this season.

LET'S PLAY TWO: This is the Bisons third doubleheader this year. The team lost a pair in Norfolk on April 6, the fourth day of the season. Today's starters, RHP Adam Miller and LHP Jason Stanford, combined to take two from Charlotte on May 4.

MILLER TIME: RHP Adam Miller continues to look for his first win of the season. In three of his first four starts, Miller has held his opponent without an earned run. On Friday in Rochester, Miller held the Red Wings to just three hits in five innings while striking out four batters. He left that game with a lead but ended up with a fourth consecutive no-decision.

EIGHT IS GREAT: LHP Jason Stanford is in his Modern Era-record eighth season with the Herd. Today, he'll tie RHP Jeremy Guthrie for 3rd in Modern team history with 67 starts. The Bisons Modern Era Strikeout King (304), Stanford also ranks T6th in wins (26) and 3rd in innings pitched (402.2). He has made a quality start in all three of his starts with the Bisons this season.

HIT STREAKIN: INF Josh Barfield has hit in a team-high 12 consecutive games. Barfield has hit .288 (15-52) with three doubles, a triple, a homerun, four RBI and seven runs scored. The streak is also the second longest active streak in the International League (LOU - Andy Phillips, 12 games). Barfield leads the Bisons with 41 hits and is second with 18 runs scored.

BISONS BITS: RHP Rick Bauer has pitched scoreless baseball in 14 of his 15 outings this year. His nine saves are tied for the second most in the International League...INF Ryan Mulhern is 11 for his last 21, raising his average 63 points (from .187 - .250).
