SWB Yankees and Louisville Bats Washed Out

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees News Release


Louisville, KY - Game three of the scheduled four game series between the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees and the Louisville Bats at Louisville Slugger Field has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a double header on Friday, May 15th beginning at 6:35 PM.

RHP Dan Giese (2-2, 1.13 ERA) will get the start for the Yankees in game one of the double header. In the second game of the twin bill, LHP Kei Igawa (3-3, 3.86) gets the start as he makes his return to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre roster. The Bats will counter with a pair of right handers; Homer Bailey (4-3, 3.55) in the game one and Justin Mallett (0-1, 5.40) getting the start in the second game.

Both games will be carried live on The Game Sports Radio Network (1280 AM, 1340 AM, 1400 AM, & 1590 AM) beginning with the pre game show at 6:05 PM.

After wrapping up the series with Friday night's double header at Louisville, the Yankees return home to PNC Field to open an eight game home stand on Saturday, May 17t, begging with a four game series vs. the Pawtucket Red Sox. Following an off day on Wednesday, May 21st, the Indianapolis Indians come to PNC Field for a four game set from May 22nd to May 25th.
