PawSox to Hold Annual Hot Stove Party

The Pawtucket Red Sox invite you to join us for our Annual Hot Stove Party on Saturday, January 24th, 12:00 Noon at McCoy Stadium!
Headlining the list of attendees is catcher Kelly Shoppach, recently named by Baseball America as the #2 prospect in the Red Sox organization.
INF Trace Coquillette, a standout on last season's IL North champion PawSox club (hitting .305), will make an early return to McCoy as he flies in from the West Coast for the party.
Massachusetts native and fan favorite Ryan Cameron, who made 26 relief appearances for the PawSox last season before ending the year as a starter for Portland, will be back at McCoy to visit.
Pitching Coach Mike Griffin will get to meet some of his 2004 staff as newly-acquired LHP Phil Seibel and RHP Josh Stevens will join him.
Seibel, a 25-year-old from the University of Texas, spent the past two seasons in the New York Mets system after being traded from Montreal for former PawSox pitchers Bruce Chen and Dicky Gonzalez.
Stevens, a 24 year old prospect, tied for the Portland (AA) team-high in victories last season going 10-9 with a 3.85 ERA in 25 games (24 starts) for the Sea Dogs.

2004 Triple-A All Star Game Tickets go on sale Wednesday February 4th!
The Pawtucket Red Sox will begin defense of their IL North Championship when they open the 2004 season on Thursday, April 8 against the Buffalo Bisons at 6:05 pm at McCoy Stadium. The PawSox, who won the 2003 IL North pennant and advanced to their first Governor's Cup Finals in twelve years last season, will face their division rivals from Buffalo for a season-opening four-game series at McCoy.
A major highlight of the schedule occurs in July when the PawSox host the 2004 Triple-A All-Star Game at McCoy. The 17th annual Triple-A All-Star game, featuring all-stars from the International League against the stars from the Pacific Coast League, will be played on Wednesday, July 14. The All-Star festivities will actually be a three-day, statewide event from Monday, July 12, through the game on Wednesday.
There will also be six fireworks dates on the schedule this year.
