
PawSox Split Doubleheader with IronPigs

The PawSox split a doubleheader with Lehigh Valley on Saturday evening, taking the opener, then losing the second game.
In game one the PawSox topped Lehigh 4-1. Aaron Cook was sensational, tossing a 7 inning complete game. Cook scattered 5 hits, allowing 1 unearned run. He walked 2 and struck out 4. Jason Repko belted a solo home run for Pawtucket. Jose Iglesias, Lars Anderson and Will Middlebrooks had an RBI apiece.
In game two, Alex Wilson threw 5 strong innings, leaving with a 2-1 lead. Wilson fanned 7. Chorye Spoon relinquished the lead, surrendering a pair of runs in the sixth. Domonic Brown had the hit that proved to be the game winner. The PawSox runs scored on a home run by Mauro Gomez and a base hit RBI for Daniel Nava.
The two teams have Sunday off, before resuming the series on Monday night at McCoy at 6:15 p.m. Scott Elarton starts for the Pigs (2-2) and Doug Mathis gets the call for Pawtucket (2-2).
