
PawSox Come up Short in Buffalo

Pawtucket Red Sox News Release
The PawSox fell to .500 (2-2) on Sunday afternoon in Buffalo, losing to the Bisons 2-1. Buffalo scored the winner in the fourth inning on a passed ball with the bases loaded. Loser, Andrew Miller (0-1) issued three walks to load the bases before he was lifted. Miller scattered 3 hits, striking out 4. Rich Hill had another great outing, tossing two and a third scoreless frames. Hill registered 4 strikeouts. Clevelan Santeliz finished with a couple of blank innings. In all, the trio combined to hold Buffalo to three hits, but the Pawtucket offense was not able to hold up its' end.
The lone Pawtucket run scored in the fourth as Yamaico Navarro doubled and scored on a base hit by J.C. Linares. Tony Thomas and Josh Reddick accounted for the only other PawSox hits.
The series continues on Monday night at 6:05 p.m. Brandon Duckworth makes his PawSox debut. He faces former Pawtucket pitcher Casey Fossum.
