(Lawrenceville, GA) Leslie Anderson's sac fly in the eighth gave Durham the lead at 4-3, but the Bulls settled for a split of their four-game series at Gwinnett, falling 5-4 in 11 on Sunday.

Anderson's fly ball scored Chris Carter, who had doubled to start the frame and moved up on a groundout.

Gwinnett (2-2) tied the game on a leadoff homer by Dan Nelson, the only homer the Braves hit in the series, and only the second run allowed by the bullpen.

Gwinnett won the game in the 12th against Dane De La Rosa (0-1), who was pitching for the third time in four days. Shawn Bowman singled and advanced to second on a walk to Nelson. After a sac bunt moved Nelson and pinch runner Jordan Schafer to second and third, Jose Constanza was walked intentionally to load the bases. Willie Cabrera then hit a sac fly to right to end the game.

All four games in the series went extra innings or were decided by one run.

Durham did receive 4.1 scoreless innings in relief from Chris Bootcheck, Cory Wade and Mike Ekstrom. Justin Ruggiano had a two-run double and Desmond Jennings scored twice for the Bulls. Gwinnett retired the last 12 Bulls hitters in order.

Durham continues its opening road trip at Charlotte on Monday. LHP Alex Torres starts against the 4-0 Knights. He'll be opposed by RHP Brandon Hynick. Coverage begins at 7 p.m., with first pitch at 7:15.
