Patterson Named BC Powder Hitter of the Week

Seveirville, TN (June 27th)- West Tenn Diamond Jaxx 2B Eric Patterson has been named the BC Powder Southern League Hitter of the Week for the weekd of June 19-25.

Patterson, who was an eighth round pick of the Cubs in the 2004 draft, went 12-25 for the week (.480) with one homer and six RBI's. He also compiled a .481 on-base percentage as well as a .760 slugging percentage. He is currently riding a six game hitting streak and has at least three hits in three of the last four games played. Patterson is currently tied for second in the league with six triples and is tied for third with twenty-three stolen bases. He also ranks fourth in the league with eighty-one hits and is tenth in the league with a .296 batting average.
