Regina Pats News Release
Week in Review:
Tuesday Oct. 21, 2008 Regina Pats 1 vs. Saskatoon Blades 8
The first of a five game home stand turned out to be the worst loss at the 'Dome since an 8-1 drubbing at the hands of the Medicine Hat Tigers on March 19th, 2005. Both starting goaltender Jeff Bosch and his replacement Damien Ketlo were shelled all night, as the Blades picked up their 8th straight victory. Michael MacAngus scored the lone Pat goal on the power play late in the game to break Braden Holtby's shut-out bid.
Friday Oct. 24th, 2008 Regina Pats 5 vs. Portland Winter Hawks 3
The blue and white broke a two game losing streak with a 5-3 win over the Portland Winter Hawks. The 'Hawks came in with just two victories on the season, but made things very difficult for the Pats as Portland took a 3-1 lead in the 2nd period. From there, Brett Leffler got the Pats within one, and then 3 goals in under five minutes to finish the period helped the Pats cruise to the victory. Jeff Bosch stopped 30 shots for the victory, while Jordan Eberle, Jordan Weal and Matt Strueby had multiple point nights.
Sunday Oct. 26th, 2008 Regina Pats 8 vs. Prince Albert Raiders 3
In one of their most dominant wins of the season, the Pats laid the boots the Raiders, hitting the 8 goal mark for the first time this season. Jordan Eberle scored twice, which gives him 80 career WHL goals, while Matt Strueby also scored twice. Jordan Weal, Colten Teubert, Matt Delahey and Michael MacAngus all had multiple point nights.
