Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce they will be hosting their annual First Nations Night for FHQ Developments and Casino Regina on Tuesday night at the Brandt Centre.
The Pats will be recognizing the history of the First Nations in the province and celebrating that all games are played on Treaty Four Territory.
There will be a ceremonial puck drop, the anthem sung in Cree and dance performances on the ice during the first intermission.
"This is an important night every year for us," said Pats Chief Operating Officer Stacey Cattell. "Our organization is proud of our partnership with the First Nations Community and we couldn't be happier to celebrate their culture at oUr rink."
There will be thundersticks available at the doors on Tuesday, courtesy the game sponsors FHQ Developments and Casino Regina. The Casino has purchased over 200 tickets for the game and donated them to First Nations groups in the Regina area.
"FHQ Developments is a proud supporter of First Nations night in partnership with Casino Regina and the Regina Pats" said FHQ Developments President/CEO Thomas Benjoe. "This is an opportunity for our youth from our Nations to enjoy a game and feel proud about showcasing our talent and sharing that with other Pats fans!"
Tickets for the game are available at reginapats.com, the Brandt Centre Box Office and at any Regina Safeway location.
