Regina Pats News Release

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats Hockey Club will host the 27th Teddy Bear Toss game in franchise history this Saturday, December 2 against the Swift Current Broncos at the Brandt Centre, presented by Global News.

Fans are asked to bring a new stuffed toy, preferably inside a clean plastic bag. When the Pats score their first goal, fans toss the stuffed toy onto the ice! If you don't have a stuffed animal, there will be a limited number available free of charge above section 116 by the Subway. Global News will also have a limited quantity of bears available for purchase on the concourse with proceeds going to the Salvation Army.

Just like last year, a large portion of the stuffed animals will be donated to the Salvation Army following the game. Additionally - Pats players will hand deliver a portion of the stuffed toys to local hospitals in time for the holiday season.

"We are extremely excited for this year's Teddy Bear Toss," said Regina Pats CEO Gord Pritchard. "This is one of the marquee nights of the hockey season and we look forward to putting smiles on children's faces this holiday season. The in-arena portion of this annual game night is no doubt fun for everyone involved, however it is the opportunity for our players to deliver the teddy bears community members following the game that is truly special and something our entire organization takes great pride in."

Pats captain Tanner Howe has scored the last two Teddy Bear Toss goals as he looks for the Teddy Bear Toss hat-trick!

"This is one of those events we look forward to every year," Salvation Army's Al Hoeft said. "It's so fun when you come to the game and see all the Teddy Bears rain down onto the ice. It's a great time for everyone and it makes such a difference in the community. We're able to make a real impact in the life of kids this Christmas because other kids are coming to the game, having fun and being able to share something."

Tickets are available for the whole family to enjoy the annual Teddy Bear Toss, or heading the Pats business office located at 1463 Albert St. or the Brandt Centre Box Office on game days. Single-game tickets for any of our upcoming home games can be found.
