Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce the signing of 2008-born forward Zach Lansard to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

"He looked really solid at our Spring Development Camp last weekend," Regina Pats GM and Head Coach John Paddock said. "He appeared to have a good ability to score goals which is always nice."

Lansard, 14, was drafted by the Pats in the fourth-round of the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft and tallied 41 points (17G-24A) in 30 games in 2022-23 with the Rink Hockey Academy in Winnipeg (U15 Prep), finishing fourth on his team in points and third in goals. The St. Anne, Man. product is a 5-foot-8, 140 lb. right-shot forward that also played with Team Manitoba at the 2017-18 Brick Invitational.

"Like the rest of them, we're really excited to get this young fellow where we got him," Regina Pats Director of Scouting Dale McMullin said. "We truly believe that he has top-6 ability in time and natural goal scoring ability which is hard to find. I think he's got a lot of upside."

He impressed at the Pats 2023 Spring Camp, scoring two goals in scrimmages and a handful of shootout goals.

"He's one of those guys where the puck just seems to follow," McMullin added. "For whatever reason, some players are like that and Zach is one of those players. He's got great offensive instincts; offensive ability and he strides well. I truly believe in time he will be a top-6 player for us."

The Regina Pats organization would like to officially welcome Zach and his family to the Pats and to the City of Regina.
