First Period

Fifty-one seconds into the game, Samoridny got the Blue and White on the board with his ninth goal of the year from Mumby and Kyle Burroughs. Williams took the first penalty of the game at 16:57 for holding. The Tigers failed to convert on the man-advantage. Instead, Boston Leier was given the gate for goaltender interference. Tigers Elgin Pearce capitalized 4-on-4 at 14:59.

Pats Stephen Hak was called for hooking at 8:25. Ouellette also made a trip to the box for slashing at 6:47. Leier cashed in on the powerplay for the Tigers. Leier's goal was assisted by Dylan Bredo and Hunter Shinkaruk. The Pats trailed 2-1 after 20-minutes.

Second Period

Williams was sent to the penalty box three-minutes into the second frame. Hewitt came up big on the penalty kill and made four saves. Throughout the period, Hewitt continued to shine on the penalty kill, and stopped all eight shots he faced midway through the second period.

The physical play picked up for the Pats in the final minutes of the second frame. Morgan Klimchuk lowered the boom on Curtis Valk with a beautiful open ice hit, and Christoffer caught a Tigers forward with his head down in the offensive end. The Tigers held onto their 2-1 lead at the end of 40-minutes. Hewitt stopped 14 shots in the frame.

Third Period

Shinkaruk scored 3:15 into the third period to increase the Tigers' lead. Pats Marc McCoy responded for the home team with a tally from Williams. Forty-seconds later, Klimchuk scored his 28th goal of the year from Williams. The game was tied up less than five-minutes into the final frame.

Jacob Doty's goal regained the lead for the Tigers at 12:10. Doty's tally was assisted by Bredo. Pearce was sent to the penalty box for checking from behind. The Pats' powerplay lasted 17-seconds as Stephenson was called for tripping. Neither team scored while 4-on-4.

The Pats pushed for an equalizer late in the game. Hewitt was pulled with 1:36 left in the game. Pat Conacher called a timeout with 41-seconds to go in the final period. The Pats directed shots at the goal, but couldn't find the back of the net. The horn sounded with the final score 4-3 in favor of the Tigers.
