January 27, 2024 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Regina Pats News Release
Lethbridge, Alta. - The Regina Pats began their three-game road trip with a 6-1 loss to the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Friday inside the Enmax Centre.
Sam Oremba scored his 11th of the season early in the second to cut the deficit to 2-1, which would be the closest they would get with the Canes' scoring four consecutive goals. The Pats swapped goaltenders throughout the game, with Kelton Pyne playing the first 43:52 and Ewan Huet playing the final 16:08.
Sean Tschigerl led the way for the Hurricanes with three points (2G-1A), while Leo Braillard (1G-1A), Kooper Gizowski (2A) and Trae Wilkie (2A) chipped in with multi point efforts. Brayden Edwards, Miguel Marques and Noah Chadwick rounded out the scoring for the Hurricanes, and Harrison Meneghin made 19 saves.
FINAL SCORE: Hurricanes 6, Pats 1
