Pats Englot, Mitchell and Walker to Miss Time

Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats Hockey Club has announced that defencemen Makai Mitchell and Kyle Walker as well as forward Drew Englot will miss time with injury.

Englot was diagnosed with appendicitis on Monday and has had successful surgery. He is recovering in hospital and is expected to miss 2-4 weeks.

Mitchell suffered broken bones in his face on Sunday in Everett in an altercation late in the game. The Silvertips were fined $500 for the incident and Dawson Butt was given a suspension by the WHL, the length of the suspension has yet to be determined. Mitchell is expected to miss 6-8 weeks.

Defenceman Kyle Walker will be out for 3-4 weeks after he took a knee from Tri-City Americans forward Landon Roberts on Saturday. Roberts was given a five-minute major and game misconduct penalty, but was not suspended for the hit.

The Pats will return to action on Tuesday night when they visit the Portland Winterhawks at 9 p.m. on 620 CKRM. Next home game is January 24 against the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
