
Patriots Drop Fourth Straight with 4-3 Loss to Bees

Bridgewater, NJ - The New Britain Bees (12-10, 45-40) defeated the Somerset Patriots (16-8, 51-36) 4-3 at TD Bank Ballpark on Thursday afternoon.
The Bees took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a sacrifice fly by Deibinson Robinson.
The Patriots answered to jump in front in the bottom of the second inning on a two-run single by Justin Pacchioli.
New Britain tied up the game in the top of the fourth inning on a solo home run by Jovan Rosa (1) before re-gaining the lead in the top of the sixth inning on an RBI single by Jamar Walton.
The Bees extended the lead in the top of the eighth inning on an RBI double by Jonathan Galvez that made the score 4-2.
An RBI single by Mike Fransoso in the bottom of the eighth inning cut the lead to 4-3, which would be the final score.
Rainy Lara (8-4) picked up the win, allowing two runs on nine hits in 5.2 innings pitched. Kyle Davies (5-5) suffered the loss, allowing three runs on six hits in six innings pitched. Evan Scribner earned his 16th save of the season with a scoreless ninth inning pitched.
