New England Revolution News Release
Foxborough, MA - U.S. Soccer announced yesterday that Revolution rookie forward Pat Noonan will join the U.S. National Team for a training camp that will run from December 12-19 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.
Noonan, a native of Ballwin, MO, was the Revolution's first round draft choice in the 2003 MLS SuperDraft. He went on to score ten goals for the Revs in the 2003 MLS regular season and was named a finalist for the MLS Gatorade Rookie of the Year.
Noonan made his first professional start on May 31 versus the Kansas City Wizards, but did not become a regular in the starting lineup until the Revs lost forwards Taylor Twellman, Joe-Max Moore and Chris Brown to injuries.
Noonan made a big impact down the stretch of the regular season and posted a hat trick versus the MetroStars on October 25 in the Revs' regular season finale. He went on to claim the MLS Player of the Week award for Week 30 of the MLS season and was also named MLS Player of the Month for October. Noonan continued to be a driving force for the team during the playoffs, scoring two of the Revolution's three postseason goals.
