
Parse among Hobey Baker's Top Ten

KEARNEY - The Tri-City Storm of the United State Hockey League learned late last week that former Storm forward and current University of Nebraska-Omaha forward Scott Parse is among the 10 finalists for the Hobey Baker award which goes to college hockey's top player.
Parse, who is completing his junior season with the Mavericks, leads the nation in scoring with 20 goals and 41 assists for 61 points.
Parse is among nine other finalists including former Lincoln Star Ryan Potulny and Omaha Lancer defenseman Matt Carle. The top three finalists will be announced as the "Hobey Hat Trick" on March 29. The three members of the "Hobey Hat Trick" will be present at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wis. on April 7, when the winner will be announced at 6:30 p.m.
Parse, who played for the Storm during the 2002-03 season, also helped the Mavericks earn a berth in this week's NCAA national tournament. The Mavericks, who are the fourth seed in the Northeast region, will face top-seeded Boston University on Friday at 3 p.m. in Worchester, Mass.
