Tri-City Americans News Release
Kennewick, WA - The Calgary Wranglers, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Calgary Flames, announced today that they have signed Tri-City Americans forward Parker Bell to an Amateur Try Out. Bell was drafted 155th overall by the Flames in the 2022 NHL Draft.
Bell, from Campbell River, B.C., had a career year in 2022-23 by recording 64 points (25-39-64) in just 55 games. His goals, assists and point totals were all career highs. Bell then added six points (2-4-6) in six playoff games against the Prince George Cougars.
Drafted 102nd overall by the Americans in the 2018 WHL Prospects Draft, Bell has seen a huge jump in his offensive production over the past two seasons. After recording seven points (1-6-7) over his first 61 career games, Bell broke out with 49 points (18-31-49) in 2021-22.
Being a 2003-born player, Bell still has one year of WHL eligibility remaining.
The Calgary Wranglers currently sit atop the AHL standings with a record of 50-15-3-1. They have three games remaining in their regular season schedule, starting tonight in Abbotsford, B.C. against the Abbotsford Canucks.
