Bay City, Mich - Meeting again on the hardwood floors, Detroit Panthers and Mid-Michigan Destroyers are becoming rivals fast. The game started with on an even scoring frenzy with the Panthers leading with a score of 26 to 24. In the second quarter the Panthers came out blazing with Brian Woodland #3 serving up three consecutive 3-pointers and Corey Gupton #44 with six defensive rebounds helping to bring the Panthers lead to 29 to 13 at the end of the second quarter. The Destroyers began gaining on the Panthers in the third quarter. With several three pointers and Panthers' turnovers put the Destroyers within three halfway through the fourth quarter but the Panthers held the lead to win 107 to 102. Panthers' holds a record of 2-1. The next game for the Panthers will be Saturday, January, 17 against the Battle Creek Knights.
