Colorado Eagles News Release

WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced today that Greg Pankewicz will remain the team's assistant coach for the 2010-11 season. After 18 years as a professional player, the CHL legend retired last summer but remained a part of the Eagles during the 2009-10 season as assistant coach.

"I'm thrilled to have Greg working beside me on the bench," said President & General Manager Chris Stewart, who re-added head coach to his title two weeks ago. "He was the person I wanted as my assistant coach the whole time, and it was just a matter of sitting down with him and figuring out if it was something he wanted as well.

"With my other responsibilities to this organization, Greg's duties will be increased this season, and I wanted him to be fully aware of what to expect before we finalized the decision. He did a great job in his first season as an assistant coach, and I believe he'll take a big step forward in the upcoming year."

Pankewicz stated that he's up to the challenge: "I'm thrilled to continue being a part of the Colorado Eagles, and I'm looking forward to continuing my growth as an assistant coach with additional responsibilities."
