Pair of Lumberjacks Make Final NHL Central Scouting

MUSKEGON, Michigan (April 24th) - The Muskegon Lumberjacks are proud to announce that a pair of players in Forwards Connor Hurley and alum Ryan Lomberg have made the final rankings list as two of the top 210 North American skaters as released by NHL Central Scouting in preparation for the 2013 NHL Entry Draft this summer.
Connor Hurley (Eagan, Minnesota) goes into this summer's draft ranked as the 45th-best North American skating prospect according to NHL Central Scouting and was the third overall pick in the 2012 USHL Entry Draft by the Lumberjacks.
The Notre Dame commit appeared in ten games this season with the Lumberjacks totaling eight points (one goal and seven assists) to go along with a plus-one rating. Hurley also added an assist in three playoff games played and recently completed his junior season at Edina High School accumulating 52 points (20 goals and 32 assists) in 31 games played.
Ryan Lomberg (Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada) goes into the draft ranked as the 177th-best North American skating prospect and recently completed his freshman season at the University of Maine where he tallied 14 points (seven goals and seven assists) in 32 games played. Prior to playing for the Black Bears, Lomberg spent one season with the Lumberjacks in 2011-12 where he led the team in goals scored (22) and points (40) in 52 games played.
Prior to his USHL career, Lomberg spent a season playing for Hill Academy in Ontario during the 2010-11 season where he stuffed the stat sheet recording 99 points (52 and 47 assists) to go along with an astounding plus-59 rating in 57 games played.
The 51st installment of the NHL Entry Draft will take place on June 30th from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey that features the top draft-eligible skaters and goaltenders from around North America and Europe.
Season ticket packages for the 2013-14 season are still on sale for the low price of $225 for adults and $150 for children ages 3-12 for the 30 home games provided next season.
