Green Bay Rockers News Release

Frogville, WI - Andy Hunter's first start of the year for the Bullfrogs was a great one. He went six shutout innings and did not walk any Mallards in the 10-0 win at home on Friday to split the two-game series. Green Bay scored 10 runs in the ball game with back to back four-run innings.

The Bullfrogs scored four runs in the third inning on two hits and three walks. Tyler Filliben drove in two runs with a triple. It was the 'Frogs second triple of the season. Filliben would come into score on an RBI double from Jacob May who extended his hitting streak to six games. May would score on a double play ground out by Cameron Dullnig.

The 'Frogs would score another four runs in the fourth inning on three hits and two more walks by the Mallards pitching staff. Joe Betcher led the fourth off with an infield single and moved to third on a throwing error by the Mallards pitcher. Nik Balog drove him in with a ground ball. Balog scored twice with two RBI in a very productive 0-3 evening. May and Haniger each drove in a run with a single before May came into score on a wild pitch to make the game 8-0 in favor of the home town 'Frogs.

Even though Green Bay scored two more runs, Andy Hunter did not need it in his masterful performance that started a little rocky. Hunter allowed the first two base runners of the game to reach on singles to put runners on the corners. The three hitter for Madison, Matt Juengel drove a ball deep to center field. Mitch Hangier made the catch and fired a strike to home plate to cut down the tagging Justin Parr. That sparked a string of nine in a row sent down by Andy Hunter. The 6'6" Gonzaga Zag used his fastball very well and induced mostly fly balls from the Mallards on Friday evening.

The win brings the 'Frogs second half record to 1-1 and 21-14 overall. They split the second half opening two-game set with the Mallards. Green Bay begins a five game road trip on Saturday with a three game series against the La Crosse Loggers before they head to Wausau for a pair of games.
