Las Vegas scored seven unanswered runs to come back and beat the Tucson Padres Thursday, 13-8. Tucson had a six run lead early, chasing 51s starting pitcher Kyle Drabek from the game after three innings. The Padres were one out away from holding the six-run lead in the fourth when Danny Perales hit a grand slam inside the right field foul pole, putting Las Vegas back in the game and within two runs.
Tucson held its lead until the seventh inning when Pat Neshek surrendered a home run to Jayson Nix, playing in his first game with Las Vegas. The 51s added five runs in the eighth when Luis Perdomo and Evan Scribner combined to walk five consecutive batters, including three with the bases loaded. Adam Loewen hit a two-run single in the rally and was 3-for-6 with a home run and four RBIs. Loewen was a starting pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles as recently as 2007.
