Milwaukee Wave News Release
MILWAUKEE (Jan. 4, 2010) - Former Green Bay Packers stars Antonio Freeman, Frank Winters, George Koonce, Brian Williams, Bill Schroeder and Derrick Mayes will sign autographs following the Feb. 13 Milwaukee Wave game in support of Go Pink! Soccer.
But there's only one way to get a signature - you need a game ticket plus a limited-edition, commemorative pink soccer ball, which serves as your ticket onto the field for the autograph session. The pink balls are $20 each, with all proceeds benefiting Go Pink! Soccer.
Purchase the balls at milwaukeewave.com, or by calling Steve Goralski at 414-908-6341. Only 2,000 balls are available, and not every player will sign every ball. Lots will be drawn for placement and only the commemorative pink soccer balls will be signed.
Milwaukee hosts the Rockford Rampage at 6 p.m. at the U.S. Cellular Arena. An addition Go Pink! fund-raising event is slated for Feb. 11 at Major Goolsby's. More information will be available soon.
Go Pink! Soccer activates young women in the fight against breast cancer. The organization launched the Go Pink! Girls' High School Soccer Series last spring. More than 80 schools participated in the fund-raising games in the inaugural year, and more than 100 are expected to be part of the program this spring.
For Wave tickets or more information, call 414-224-9283 or visit milwaukeewave.com. The Milwaukee Wave professional indoor soccer team is the longest-running soccer franchise in continuous operation in the United States. The team celebrated its Silver Anniversary last season, and operates the largest summer soccer camp program in Wisconsin. For more information, visit milwaukeewave.com.
