Pacific Association Announces Lumberjack Reorganization
August 13, 2013 - North American League (NAmL)
San Rafael Pacifics News Release
The East Bay Lumberjacks franchise has been reorganized and acquired by Candice Macari, Cristin Franklin, Thomas Macari, and Wayne Franklin as the Bay Cal Lumberjacks. The new team members bring years of direct applicable experience running successful corporations, years of experience playing professional baseball (including Major League Baseball), experience in accounting, web development, and social media. This reorganization transforms the front office from a hungry but inexperienced group to a rock solid corporation with years of relevant experience, ready to make the Lumberjacks one of the premium professional franchises in the San Francisco bay area.
Another exciting development is the Lumberjacks' new sponsor Bay Cal Paving which is providing critical resources to help bring the team to the next level. The new ownership group is currently working to secure a permanent home venue in the east bay.
"We are very excited about the addition of the Bay Cal Lumberjacks to our league." Said Mike Marshall the Commissioner of the Pacific Association."
"The East Bay club do a terrific job filling in for us during the summer. With new sponsorship and and some significant additions to the roster we are already seeing an impact on the field."
The Lumberjacks head into this weeks games with a record of 5-1 since the reorganization. They swept a series with the Vallejo Admirals and took 2 of 3 against the San Rafael Pacifics over the weekend.
