Madison Capitols News Release
In the last 24 hours, Madison Capitols forwards Reid Pabich and Quinn Finley have both made their collegiate commitments to play Division I college hockey.
Pabich, who dawns an 'A' for the Capitols, announced his commitment last night to Maine Men's Ice Hockey.
"We are all very happy for Reid on his commitment to Maine," Capitols head coach Tom Upton said. "Reid has come through our program from the AAA level to the USHL level. His leadership and dedication on and off the ice is excellent. He will have a great impact in building a winning culture at Maine."
The Verona, Wisconsin native is tied for the team lead in points with 11. His eight assists is tied for first among all Capitols players.
"It feels amazing," Pabich said of his commitment. "It finally happened this year and I'm really excited to get there."
Finley, also a native of Wisconsin, won't have far to travel as he announced his commitment to the University of Wisconsin earlier this afternoon.
"We are very proud of Quinn and his commitment to the Badgers. Wisconsin is getting a very talented player who has tremendous offensive ability," Upton said. "Quinn has a passion for developing into the best player he can be over the next couple years and that passion is what he will bring to the program at Wisconsin."
Through eight games played, Finley has totaled 6 points (3 goals, 3 assists).
"I just can't wait to get there and learn from that coaching staff. I think it's really going to benefit me," Finley said.
